SILHOUETTE PHOTOGRAPHY - HENDERSON / VEGAS
It took a little time to warm up to the camera, which was surprising because she is usually so fearless. But, it just goes to show that anyone can be camera shy. That is why it is so important to hire a photographer with personality. A good professional photographer will not only worry about all of that technical jargon, but about the client having a good time. If you are uncomfortable, out of your element or down right bored, that is definitely going to show in the outcome of the photos. And who wants a stack of photos where you aren't looking your best?! It's only going to make it harder to get "Dad" or "the boys" willingly involved next time family photos need to be done.
There are lots of little tricks to help make the model more comfortable, but you can't teach a photographer personality. It is just something that comes from a natural. So if you are shy and non-social, try to warm up a little and be goofy for your clients. My journey as a photographer has been all about surpassing that 'comfort zone' we all get sucked into all too often.
This location is one that I love! Warning: it is dangerous to play in water overflows during flash flood warnings, even if they aren't in your immediate area! Be cautious and safe always. But, that's where this was! A neat overflow. We walked down inside (which was SUPER SCARY for me, but mom insisted we check it out!) and there was some beautiful artwork! Warning: do not vandalize public property, even if you are an amazing artist!
